Virginia – Campaign Finance Reporting Reform Set to Become Law
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin is expected to shortly sign SB 1427, a bill requiring additional campaign finance reports and disclosures, into law after supporting the bill throughout the legislative process. Under the new law, the current quarterly reporting schedule would be replaced by one requiring five reports, with additional 24-hour PAC reports required for large donations made or received in the weeks prior to an election.
