Washington – Grassroots Disclosure Bill Advancing
HB 1317, a bill that would revamp Washington’s grassroots lobbying disclosure laws, is quickly advancing in the State Legislature. Under the legislation, those donating $25 or more to grassroots efforts to influence legislation must be disclosed on the sponsoring organization’s reports, and those organizations would have to disclose their top five donors on any grassroots mailers.
