Alaska –Ballot Measure to Limit Contributions Filed

 In Blog, Updates

A ballot measure to replace the statewide contribution limits formerly struck down by a federal court in 2021 was filed last week.  The measure, if approved by voters, would implement a $2,000 cap on contributions from Alaskans for most candidates, with a lower cap on contributions from out-of-state donors who could also only make up %25 of a candidate’s total contributions accepted.  However, it is unclear if the Governor will allow the measure to move forward for signature collection by certifying it.
