Arizona – Dark Money Disclosures Up to the Court
Following an initiative requiring disclosure of so called ‘dark money’ spending, the Maricopa County Superior Court has blocked implementation of the law, with a full decision on the merits expected by the end of the year. In this suit, the alleged constitutional violation by the Republican party plaintiffs does not involve free speech, as similar plaintiffs in other cases have made, but instead alleges that the law violates separation of powers.
