California – Pay-to-Play Law Upheld in Court
Last week, a superior court in Sacramento upheld the provisions of SB 1439 requiring local officials to recuse themselves from decisions impacting campaign donors of at least $250. The court held that the law does not violate either the State or federal constitution.
