Federal – FEC May Regulate Deepfakes for 2024 Afterall
The FEC has decided to move forward with an attempt to create regulations around the use of campaign media using “deepfake” artificial intelligence, potentially in time for 2024. While an attempt to create such regulations floundered earlier this year, the Commissioners’ unanimously agreed to move forward in this instance last Thursday.
