Maine – Foreign Corporations Contributors No Longer
Following Mainer’s approval of Question 2 last Tuesday, corporations owned at least 5% by a foreign government are set to be prohibited from donating towards state and local candidates or ballot measures starting next month. The new law also requires media outlets to establish measures to ensure compliance.
