Vermont – Uniform Local Ethics Law Passes

The Vermont Legislature has enacted a uniform ethics law wrapping local officials into the ethics restrictions for their state level counterparts while also establishing new disclosure requirements, conflict of interest rules, and penalties.  It is unclear how the Governor may act, but the measure passed with a near supermajority potentially capable of overriding a veto.
